Roll for Self-Care

Roll for Self-Care

Aim: Sometimes self-care is a difficult task, not because we don't know what to do, but because we don't always have the motivation, this small push to guide us towards the right direction. This activity aims to help you implement one random act of self-care per day, without going through the trouble of making the decision!

Level: 2
Duration: 20-30 min

Randomise self-care acts to fight option paralysis!

Instructions:

Print or draw on 2 A4 paper the outline of a cube that is provided below.  On each side of the cube write one different act of self-care, that is easy for you to implement. Then, fold on the dotted lines and glue your cube together! You will need in total 12 acts of self-care. Set a reminder for one week, at the beginning of your day, and roll both dice. You will get 2 different results: choose one of the two and do it within the day!

Advice:

If you feel uninspired on your first attempt, remember, to keep it simple. It doesn't need to be anything extravagant; it could be as simple as enjoying a cup of your favourite coffee, wearing an outfit that makes you feel nice, taking a 15-minute walk before work, watching an episode of a series you like, cooking your favourite meal etc.

Extra:

You can create different level cubes, with self-care acts that are more challenging for you or that need more time. For example, you can have a different set for your days off, or you can create new ones if you feel you outgrew or got bored with your first ones! If you want more daily options, create more than two dice!
